October 2, 200322 yr The formal presentation dealt with magnitude of the task to provide a program that is run on an infinate variation of computer set-ups. The 40-some testing crew logged thousands of hours testing and modifying FS9. The rep was available for questions all through the conference, but as usual, was not forthcoming with the future.
October 2, 200322 yr Author John: Did you hear any mention of a possible DVD edition in the future or does your last sentence pretty much answer my question?-GeorgeM at 5B6
October 4, 200322 yr Author Thanks for your response, John. It appears that there seems to be a trend by manufacturers, etc. to install DVD-ROM drives as standard equipment on their computers and that's what prompted my question. Maybe if CD-ROM drives start to disappear more quickly we may have a chance of seeing Microsoft market a DVD for FS2006 (or whenever)!!!:D-G
