October 29, 201015 yr Sorry for the stupid question, but is there somewhere in FS that you can see useful postflight info such as fuel used, total flight time, total distance flown, etc?
October 29, 201015 yr Hi.I'd find that useful too. The best I've come up with so far is...I use Alt+A, F, F to set my fuel at the start of a flight, and check it again after shutting down.I've got no external planning software so am stuck with working out my own flight time from the flight analysis map, Alt+O, A. I have started using a chronometer gauge that I'm slowly adding to each of my favourite aircraft. The same map is all I've found for the distance too (which isn't quite accurate as it gives a total distance, so includes taxiing). Then I have to work out my own mpg from that...Regards,D
October 29, 201015 yr Have you ever checked out FSPassengers? By disabling the game features of the addon you have an incredibly useful flight detail PIREP for each and every one of your flights. I bought it two years ago and never fly without it.The break squeal effect alone is worth the purchase price! Smooth Skies! -- Chuck B. October 29, 201015 yr ... and the passengers' squeals might improve my flying!I hadn't looked into that before but I think I'm sold on it. I like the fact that it works with any plane. I suppose I could run a small air taxi business with it. 30 euros is pretty cheap too. Thanks for pointing it out Chuck.Bristol86, Google fspassengers and look at the last couple of screenshots on their site. I think that's probably what we both were looking for.D
October 29, 201015 yr Looks good to me. I'm not interested in any of the other features, you say you can disable it and just use it to view the post flight info?
October 29, 201015 yr Looks good to me. I'm not interested in any of the other features, you say you can disable it and just use it to view the post flight info?Yes,-- some in the UI, and some by simple manual .cfg file edits -- instructions are included with the program. I leave the simple light penalty and speed below 10K hooked up, because I like to be reminded of those. I also use the PIREPs to help me with fuel planning as well. Once you do a number of flights, you can just refer back into your flight history and see exactly how much fuel you need. And the screams of the passengers are great! My wife doesn't hear them too often but when she does she always says "THAT doesn't sound good!" And if you don't recover from a crash, the co-pilot says: "WE'RE GOING DOWN! MOTHER!!!" It's great.I'm telling you, though. The break squeal alone is so good, it's worth the cost of the program. And IT works with every aircraft too. Smooth Skies! -- Chuck B.
