October 13, 200322 yr Pardon my stupidity but will someone please tell me how to process a screenshot? A tech at ELITE asked me for a screenshot from ELITE PILOT GV so he could help me. By the time I got the shot onto the reply e-mail it was 2+MB and took several minutes to send. There must be an easier way. What do I do after I press PRINT SCREEN? Pretend I'm sending a screenshot to this forum. I'm using Windows XP home, SP2. Thanks.
October 13, 200322 yr This is a FS2002/FS2004 forum, so the process may not apply to Elite. With FS2002/FS2004, you simply press the printscreen key, then "paste" the shot into your preferred paint program and save it as a .jpg....-John
October 13, 200322 yr A lot of decent paint packages allow you to change the size of images, and to reduce the colours. You can also crop the image so that you lose any bits you don't need. All these help to reduce the size of the data, and so the file size. For general tech support questions it is fine for you to crop the image and save it as say a 256 colour bitmap.Especially if it is information they want, not a high quality image. Finally save it as a jpeg not a bitmap as bitmaps are quite bulky size wise.CheersStuntie.
