Effects light dissapears?

Featured Replies

Hello,I have started to make the radiomasts around my airport to represent the VAC approach :( when I foud this phenomen! If I have a standard FSX "red obs light" on my mast and start at the airport and flies out in the world the lights work. If I flies longer than the mast shoves up in the sim and turn around none of the light show up in the airport or the masts around the airport when I comes back?If I turn the lifetime = 0.00,0.00 and the rate = 1.00,1.00 (in the effect file) then the lights work most of the time but they doesn't look nice. (not 3D and a coloured square around the ligth!Do I someting wrong when I compile the objects or is the fault in FSX (with all the SP)?

That problem seems to go away if you change the "Type=19" to "Type=25" under the [particle.X] section(s) of the effect. I don't know if it works in FSX, but it seemed to cure that problem in FS9 for me anyway. Here's a thread with more info:http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6597Jim
