Unable to purchase products with Google Chrome

Featured Replies

Just went to go buy the new V35 and I was unable to load the product page in Google Chrome, as it turns out this is the case for all Carenado products. I have bought all my previous products (including the Cargo Caravan) in Chrome so it must be a recent change. I can load all other aspects of the site fine, including screenshots e.t.c and the product page loads fine in IE.Regards, Scott

I ran across this recently when trying to purchase the Super Cargomaster expansion. Any product page I clicked on was blank, with only the Carenado graphic header showing. I discovered it only happens with the latest release of Chrome. I had the previous version on my Macbook Pro, and it worked there until I upgraded to version 7. Since this occurred only with the latest release, I submitted it as a bug to the dev team. This was their response.

This reduces to an unclosed comment: <body>hello <!-- <br> world</body>The old HTML parser would reparse the input if it got to EOF without finding a closing comment tag (and display "hello world"), but we don't do that anymore (now we just show "hello"). This is consistent with the HTML5 parser in Firefox 4.0, so it's an evangelism bug (it's a matter of removing the unclosed comment on their site).
Apparently it's caused by an unclosed comment in the code on those pages, which wasn't an issue for previous versions, and still isn't with other browsers. Most likely it won't work from this point on with Chrome unless the coding issue is addressed.
