Cockpit observations during 8hr hop.

Featured Replies

Hi all.Just finished an 8+hr hop from EHAM - TNCM.For once everything went and worked perfectly for me.FS9 stayed stable throughout.Activesky weather was kind, average headwinds for flight around 35kts.Screenshot program actually took some decent shots, more on this later in Screenshot forum.MD-11 flawless, as usual. All the above meant some free time to explore the cockpit and I saw some additions on the panel and overhead that got me wondering. The Event Manager button on the main panel and the PA com panel on the overhead. They don't do anything for me here, yet all are working buttons on the panel. Were they designed in from the start with FS2Crew in mind?8+ hours gave a sore rear end, so some of that lead weight must have hit the brain to get me asking about these instead of complaining at something not working :( :( Enjoyed the flight, nice work PMDG team, many thanks for this beauty.Screenshots should be up within the hour.

Regards.

Event manager is a way for the crew to "mark" a particular event on the flight data recorder as well as the ADAS function. It isnt used very often at all. Not sure about the PA panel as I only fly the MD11F, probably a way for the crew to communicate with the different flight attendant stations.
