November 21, 201015 yr It isn't up to par with Steam and many games are old and overpriced but i hope they will move in the right direction to make it much more attractive for PC gamers. At least their daily deals seems to be more interesting, as long as they are available in all regions (e.g. Age of Empires III for $0.10).Digital distribution of games and competition between game services will hopefully lead to a much more reasonable pricing of entertainment goods, so that more people are able to afford them.

I can see "new" digital companies might price low to grab market share .. but once market share stabilizes .. the price for digital will be the same as retail.
November 21, 201015 yr Steam and Windows Live is good in the interim. But ultimately I think every game maker will make you use of their own web services. After all the major component missing is payment processing...
November 21, 201015 yr I'm not sure but i think they will stay for a longer while and deliver their services for a wide spectrum of devices.I like it to have a centralized service which is perfectly integrated in the OS.My biggest problem with online distribution is the pricing.. normally it should be way cheaper because there is no box, no cd/dvd/blue-ray, no manual, no shipping etc.but most of the time the prices are equal or online even higher. Buy a blue-ray from Amazon and you get HD + various languages + extras while if you buy the same movie from iTunes or Zune, you often only get SD and only one language but at a similar price. Or MoH at Amazon vs. MoH at Steam. Makes no sense imo and keeps people away.
