747 local time display

Recommended Posts

Well the second part of that is rather simple. That looks to be about UTC + 1 1/2. If UTC is 1300, then the local time would be 1430ish. Sicily is one hour ahead of UTC (currently), and those coordinates are just off the Eastern coast.

So as an approximation, the 'E' part (in this case E023°14), for every 'whole' 15, add one hour? so E31 would be + 2 hours, and E46 would be +3?

Don't forget though that parts of the world add or subtract half an hour e.g. SE Asia (Malaysia/Singapore) which is 7 1/2 hours ahead of GMT/UTC.It's better to use UTC/GMT time always for the purpose of your flight logs. As it's only the pax that need to know the local time and the crew once they have alighted the a/c.vololiberista
