October 20, 200322 yr As so many of us use Catalyst drivers I wondered if anyone knows if there is anything in this:http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=12222
October 20, 200322 yr Author I don't think anyone knows yet, for sure, what's really going on. But there have been a significant number of reported cases where monitor damage is being blamed on the 3.8's. I usually ignore this kind of thing, but I've seen a couple of those reports from very credible people whom I trust and that was enough for me to go back to the 3.7's. There is no use taking the chance on frying a $500 piece of equipment just to be running the "latest" driver version. It may all prove to be a non-issue but I'm not going to run the 3.8's with these monitors until my comfort level goes up a bit.Doug Intel 10700K @ 5.1Ghz, Asus Hero Maximus motherboard, Noctua NH-U12A cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200 MHz RAM, RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, 100TB of disk storage.
