November 26, 201015 yr Ran O/O defrag as I do about once/month. After this last defrag, I lost the ability to boot my computer in any mode. Long story short I reinstalled the OS (Vista Ultimate 64 bit) and have rebuilt all my settings from scratch. I've got FS9 up and running fine with all the environmentals installed (UT/GE PRO/REX/FSgenesis, AS6.5 etc) and I've got just a minor issue with Squawkbox 4. When I click on the module tab withing FS9 at the top, I get FSUIPC and SB 4. When I click on SB 4 the screen goes black for a few seconds then I get an SB splash screen. I've got to alt/tab to bring in the actual SB box that you connect with and see the ATC frequencies. I do recall having this same issue when I intially loaded SB4 on my new computer. As reference I have deselected "run this program in compatibility mode (when you right click on the FS9 icon and go to properties) for Windows XP" etc...when that is selected, SB data turns into some binary code. I also have "disable visual themes" checked in the compatibility mode. I know there's got to be a few vista ultimate 64 bit users out there who may have a fix. Thanks in advanceRich Perry
