October 22, 200322 yr I've been comparing flight models to my actual real life air time in the Cessna 152 trainer. I must say that for a simulated bird, the Lancair by Robert Christopher has an excellent flight model. It just feels right on the money at takeoff and landing. I know it's not the same model as the 152 but the feel it has is pretty close to what you get with any small plane in flight. When your taking off in a small bird in real life, that edge of the seat feeling you get is really captured here in this bird.I tried the RealAir Cessna model and although it seems to be well thought out, for general practice I've been surprised to find the default 172 feels better to me for some reason. I'm not one to praise the default aircraft but this bird works better for me for training. Even though FS2k4 doesn't quite model adverse yaw (maybe it does a little, I don't know), this bird feels more like what I dealt with in the air. I know I must be crazy...What I noticed in real flight was you notice the adverse yaw issue more because you can feel and see it. In FS2k4 I'm finding I see something on the slip indicator that could be a form of adverse yaw, I don't know. Anyway I find myself practicing with the rudder and get a pretty good effect out of the default FS2k4 172. It gives a decent feel of how a real plane responds when using the rudder, I guess it's satisfactory for now.So all this is to say for those who want to know which airplane has that right feel, I recommend getting the Lancair for FS2k4, you can't go wrong here... October 22, 200322 yr Hi,All I can say is I agree, it's a wonderful plane with a great model and flight dynamics. And besides, when I pull my Testarossa :-laugh1 in the hanger and park next to the 'F1' paint job I got on it, it looks great sitting next to the bird.Jim
