.cfg document saved as .text

Featured Replies

Hey guys, Little Problem.Im new to Win7, so installed all my FSX stuff, runs good... Went to add repaints to my aircraft.cfg , then saved it, but it saved it as a .text document. noe the aircraft will not load up in fsx... any ideals... it the exact same way as i did it in xp....Thanks...Justin

Just right click the file and rename it from aircraft.txt to aircraft.cfg. It's always a good idea to rename the original cfg file before you alter it so that it can be recovered in case of disasters that will strike. As is often said about players who screw up cfg files: Those who have, and those who will.

Justin,When you go to "save", look at the bottom of the dialogue box - you will see an option to save the type of file. By default it is set to TXT file - change to "all files" and you can then save as xxxxs.cfg.Caught me when I first started with Win 7RegardsJohn R
