Just because you pay for it, doesn't mean that it's necessarily better! Heat shimmeris difficult to model effectively in FS because the effects system is particle-based whereas real heat shimmer is not. Best you can do it a particle-geenrated system that tries to act like an invisible shimmer.Try AutoEnvironment - it's in the library here, and adds more than heat shimmer.;)

Hi,I am trying to install EES plus to my posky/pss merged 777. In the manual, it says light reference 7,8,6 and 9 should be reserved for EES. But those references have already been used by the posky light. Anyone know how I can fix this? Thx.Danny

Hi Danny.This is my [lights] section for the Posky 777:[lights]//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landinglight.0 = 1, 28.5, 0, 12.4, Opensky_beaconlight.1 = 1, 4.75, 0, -9, Opensky_beaconlight.2 = 3, -112.0, 0.0, 4.500, Opensky_nav_yellow ,light.3 = 3, 32.7, -10.1, 1.3, Opensky_nav_yellowlight.4 = 3, 32.7, 10.1, 1.3, Opensky_nav_yellowlight.5 = 4, 86.502, 0, 5.4, Opensky_747_vclightlight.6 = 2, -112.0, 0.0, 8.500, fx_strobeh,light.7 = 4, 86.502, -2.2, 5.328, Opensky_747_vclightlight.8 = 4, 86.502, 2.2, 5.328, Opensky_747_vclight;light.9 = 8, 12.5, 23, 0, Opensky_nacelle_refl;light.10 = 8, 12.5, -23, 0, Opensky_nacelle_refl;light.11 = 8, 25, 30, 0, Opensky_wing_light;light.12 = 8, 25, -30, 0, Opensky_wing_light;light.13 = 8, 0, 56, 0, Opensky_wing_light;light.14 = 8, 0, -56, 0, Opensky_wing_light//Fan engine heat shimmer at idle thrustlight.9=7, 9.0, -31.9, -8.5, fx_fanengine_heavy_idle,light.10=8, 9.0, 31.9, -8.5, fx_fanengine_heavy_idle,//Fan engine in flightlight.11=9, 9.0, -31.9, -8.5, fx_fanengine_heavy,light.12=9, 9.0, 31.9, -8.5, fx_fanengine_heavy,//APUlight.13=10, -107.25, -2.00, 4.75, fx_APU,All I've done is rem out the original wing lights and reflections (which didn't seem to do much) and insert the control lines for the heat shimmer. If the 'heavy' option is too 'smoky' you can replace the reference in the lines to 'medium' or 'light' depending on preference.;)
