December 10, 201015 yr I am new at the forums here so please bare with me, I own (and love) the PMDG 747-400 Queen of the Skies as well as (among other things) an MCP (hardware) from Opencockpits.com. Whenever I use my mcp with the 747 I can turn knobs on the mcp and the airplane in fsx will respond accordingly; however, the mcp displays all zeros for all the screens regardless of what I am setting (in other words, the mcp headings and altitudes, etc in fsx change when I move the knobs, but there is no feedback from fsx to my mcp, so therefore it shows all zeros no matter what). After also buying the Level-D 767, and that having software that was made specifically for opencockpits.com hardware (lekseecon), the mcp worked perfectly, with the screens displaying exactly what is displayed in the fsx 767 mcp. So (if you understand any of this) I was wondering if the 737 NGX will have the same problem with the mcp as the 747 did, or if there is software that will come with it similar to lekseecon, which will run the opencockpits mcp well. Thanks
December 10, 201015 yr Commercial Member The NGX will have a hardware SDK that will allow hardware makers to make their stuff work with it. It'll be up to them though, we aren't going to make hardware we don't even own work. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
December 10, 201015 yr Yeah that makes sense, and is pretty much what I was looking for. Thanks for the quick response and looking forward to the NGX!Regards
December 10, 201015 yr I cant speak for them, but I would more than imagine that they will ensure it all works, especially as there is now an SDK for it, in essence it should be very easy to make it work just like the LevelD 767 does.It will be what makes this PMDG product amazing, moving away from the SIMTOY effect that other products give you when you have to click with a mouse...Its a great move by PMDG to do this, and with an announcement that a new 747 is on the horizon then I think it wont be long before you will have this functionality with the 747.My biggest concern is that if/when they make a Airbus, Im going to have to go buy some more hardware LOLRegards Regards James Carr

I too hope that this is a trend that PMDG will continue to follow with the 777 and (rumoured) 747v2. PMDG don't do steps backward do they? :( Regards, Philip Lodge PC specs; Windows 7 64 bit home premium, Asus P6X58D-E, Intel core i7 930 @ 4.0 GHz, Corsair XMS3 6GB DDR3 1600MHz triple channel RAM, POV GTX 470, 500gb HDD + 250gb FS HDD, 24" 1920 x 1200, 19" 1280 x 1024 GoFlight MCPPro, VRInsight CDU II, Saitek Pro Flight Radio Panel. December 10, 201015 yr Commercial Member All our stuff going forward will be based on the technology we've developed with the NGX - you can expect the same stuff (and likely more as we add on to the framework) with future products... I mean PMDG makes lots of Boeing stuff so I figured when the 777 comes out and if the anything else Boeing does, it'll be all set for an aircraft change. It seems the entire fs addon community is going to need to step it up (again) in order to stay in business with the new PMDG planes coming out
