Boston Logan scenery.

Featured Replies

A while back, some chap was creating a very good looking KBOS scenery for FS9. Anybody familiar with him that can tell us the status of that great looking project?

You might try looking at www.sceneryusa.com. I got all excited myself about the Boston scenery last May or June. I think the Australian company switched their priorities to work on the Megascenery project (Southern Calif) and they are now working on Megascenery for the New York area. The Boston scenery uses a different technology that Megascenery which is based off of satelite immages. Myself, I downloaded the sample Boston scenery in FS2002 and really really liked it. Hope someday they will switch back and finish the Boston project. Jack.

He is referring to a freeware Boston Logan being developed by George, goes by grimmy on the forums.First preview was May 12, 2003 and then a second posting on Sept. 11, 2003 said the project was almost finished. George says he was waiting on the release of AFCAD2 to complete the project.By the way, I don't know this person, but was able to answer this thread by doing a forum search using "Boston Logan Scenery". It's too bad more people don't use this powerful forum tool. :-hmmm

What I am referring to isn't freeware. If you go to the web site I mentioned, you will see they reference it was to be a multiple CD set and payware. Looks like there may be multiple Boston scenery efforts going on.
