Yoke & rudder setup in FSX

I just purchased a dell 9100 computer with windows 7 on it and I can't seem to get the yoke or rudders to display their movements in FSX. I have gone to the calibration tables and have done everything per the book and can't get them to display movement with the cessna 172 default plane. I have done the 'Test' in the calibration windows and they all display movement in the various axis' , however, when I try to fly with the default plane, I get no response or visual movement. Anybody know what's going on here?Jack
