Hi Jim, Hope all is well with you...I often get an error message when AS6.5 tries to download current weather "download failed or canceled" - it keeps retrying every 10 seconds or so but it can go on for my whole flight.But I don't think that this is a problem with my setup as I have the AS weather engine as an allowed programme in Windows 7 firewall, and (moreover) more than half the time the data downloads just fine, (I can see the 400kb or so progress bar in the AS main window). Is there a known problem with the server - or else why would I get this problem some of the time and not others?Thanks,Martin

Hi,I just checked with my copy and everything is fine and there have been no other reports of this. Try and force the Secondary server in AS and see if that helps. Another thing it could be is your anti-virus blocking things. One last thing it could be is your Internet route having a problem from your location to the server location.

Mine's running fine at the moment too - but this morning I got nothing. I see that when AS cannot connect to the weather server it starts with server 1, then tries server 2 - both fail.Not sure how my anti-virus (AVG) could block a server - I thought that was the firewall. Not sure how to configure it, there's nothing obviouos in the interface. Maybe it's a glitch with my BT internet..M.
