Installing in Win 7 64

Featured Replies

Just got back into flight sims and pulled out some of my stuff I had on my old computer. Am running windows 7 64 bit on new one. When I try to install 737 the installer starts, ask me all my info, then stops and windows says it is not responding. Any Ideas. PLS.

Did you build your own PC?Or, Upgrade the old OS to new OS?Do your default MSFS9.1 (it is vesion 9.1, correct?) aircraft fly ok?What folder (path) is FS9.1 in?

Thanks for the quick reply. No, I just bought a new laptop. All Planes flight great on it including none stock one such as the folkker. Used standard install in C:\programfiles (x86)\microsoft games\flight simulator 9. Everything goes ok with the install program until I say install. It stops at something saying skipping files c:\windows\fonts

Not the best folder .. because of restrictions/permissions problems. Many post about this. When you say stopped ... did you "wait" a bit to see if it continues?Any error message? What did the Windows Event Viewer say "caused" the problem? Also, this may help:http://forum.avsim.net/forum/348-the-win7-os-forum/
