October 26, 200322 yr Guys n Gals,Im having a massive problem with FS2004, Sometimes and not always, and I think it happens after I pause the game, while I take a break, or whatever, all the Menus at the top of the Screen (File, Options, Simulator, PMDG) ETC all Dissapear and then I thats it, FS Will eventually Crash, or it cant be shutdown, If I open any windows it goes black and goodbye. I have spent soo much money on this hobby, I am serioulsy considering giving it up, Im just SICK to DEATH of losing flights Due to this, or my plane being thrown around like a paper plane because of the weather. All the fun has gone out it for me now.Anyways sorry for ranting on, but does anybody know how to solve this problem. My PC Specs are in my Sig if that helpsJason
October 27, 200322 yr Hello Jason,Are you using the RealityXP 530XP? Probably a silly question but just making sure. Well, if so, how long are you pausing the game? I noticed that if I leave the sim paused for a while (not exactly sure how long it takes) when using the 530XP that the sim will lock up. Actually I think it's the Garmin Trainer or the 16-bit subsystem that the Trainer runs on that locks up, and then causes the sim to be hung. When this has happened to me I wasn't even able to get back to the desktop. I've had it happen twice. The first time this happened I was able to press CTRL-ESC and properly 'guess' where I was navigating behind the frozen FS2004 screen with the arrow keys and successfully pressed 'Enter' on the 'Start --> Turn Off Computer --> Restart' button and the computer closed everything down and rebooted cleanly. The second time I couldn't seem to manage to get there and just had to power off. After this second time I have made sure to never leave the game paused for too long again. I have no idea if this could be the problem you are having but thought I'd throw it out here anyway.Regards,Jim

I was using the PSS Bus. I think it may be a Driver Issue, as I Just cant see how else the Menus could be lost. I have Downloaded the Latest Omega Drivers and will Try them toninght. Thanks for the Feedback.Jason
