Kodiak: Direct to not working?

Recommended Posts

Guest

The Quest Kodiak is my favorite plane right now and everything is perfect (although I do use some edit for the G1000, I have to add). I've got one problem: the Direct to option doesn't work. Sometimes I want to fly directly to a specific waypoing in my flight plan. I press Direct to, go to the flightplan, hightlight the waypoint and then... nothing. No matter what I do, I can't let the plane fly to the desired waypoint. I also tried it the other way around (opening the flightplan on the G1000, selecting the waypoint and then press Direct to) but that also doesn't work.Anyone here who's got Direct to working on the Kodiak...?

Not sure what you're trying to do. The DIRECT to function works for me. However, if you select a waypoint and then go DIRECT TO, the rest of your plan is wiped out.If that's what you want do this:Click FPL - click show cursor button - cursor down to your waypoint so that it's highlighted - click D-> button - your selection will be filled in - click ENT to activate. You will now see that it's the ONLY entry in your plan.Another option - do as above to select your waypoint and highlight it - click MENU button on the GPS - select activate this leg - press enter - the a/c will now fly that leg and still keep your plan intact.Vic

@vgbaron: odd, because that's what I do (the wipe option, so to speak :( ) but in my Kodiak it just doesn't work... I'll give the leg option a try...EDITYes, that leg option works! That's good enough for me! Thanks!
