December 20, 201015 yr Hi Guys,I know Pan Am never flew the MD80 series but I wondered if anyone knew of a livery for the Leonado Maddog 2010 edition? I have searched the internet and the Avsim file libraries with no success. Thanks, and Happy Christmas!Richard
December 20, 201015 yr Author Actually there is another problem too :( I just downloaded an American Airlines Livery and put the textures in the aircraft/maddog2008 folder, and edited the aircraft.cfg as instructed in the readme file; but for some reason when I start flightsim nothing shows up in the aircraft menu, only the default livery. I have rechecked everything and it's all as instructed. Odd. Also I downloaded the liveries from the maddog website and they arn't showing either!!! The only thing I can think of is that I have the Maddog 2010 professional and these liveries are titled ',maddog 2008'. Has anyone else had this problem?

I noticed that this issue came up months ago on their forum but wasnt replied to, so I thought I'd get a better response on this (busier) forum in the meantime! Thanks for your help :)
December 20, 201015 yr The 2008 textures should also work in the 2010 version.Ok; You should have a "texture.MDG" in the /SimObjects/airplanes/MADDOG2010/ folder, right? Below (or above) that should be a file - "texture.AAL_bn" or "texture.AAL_wn". Do you have these folders, or one similar?If so, does the aircraft.cfg have this pasted below the first [fltsim.0][fltsim.01]title=LSH MD-82 American Airlines sim=md-82model=vcpanel=widesound=texture=AAL_wnkb_checklists=md-82_checkkb_reference=md-82_refatc_id=N492AAatc_airline=Americanatc_flight_number=atc_parking_types=GATE,CARGO,RAMPatc_parking_codes=AALui_manufacturer=Leonardo SHui_type=md-82ui_variation=LSH MD-82 American Airlines (white nose)description=Fly the Maddog 2006 editionvisual_damage=0atc_heavy=0Cheers! i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
December 20, 201015 yr Author Thanks paul. I should add at this point that I have just realised that I have posted in wrong forum as I am using FS9 at the moment. My mistake it's been a long day with all this snow here in the UK!!!None the less I am using a livery where the readme states that it is usable both in FS9 and FSX and I have followed the instructions to the letter. The texture.AAL folder is under the aircraft/maddog folder and the aircradft.cfg has the following:[fltsim.0]title=LSH MD-82 McDonnell Douglassim=md-82model=panel=sound= texture=MDGkb_checklists=md-82_checkkb_reference=md-82_refatc_id=MADDOGatc_airline=McDonnell Douglasatc_flight_number=atc_parking_types=GATE,CARGO,RAMPatc_parking_codes=MDGui_manufacturer=Leonardo SHui_type=md-82ui_variation=LSH MD-82 McDonnell Douglasdescription=Maddog 2008 editionvisual_damage=0atc_heavy=0[fltsim.01]title=LSH MD-82 American Airlines (white nose)sim=md-82model=panel=sound=texture=AAL_2k8kb_checklists=md-82_checkkb_reference=md-82_refatc_id=N492AAatc_airline=Americanatc_flight_number=atc_parking_types=GATE,CARGO,RAMPatc_parking_codes=AALui_manufacturer=Leonardo SHui_type=md-82ui_variation=LSH MD-82 American Airlines (white nose)description=Fly the Maddog 2008 editionvisual_damage=0atc_heavy=0Very confusing as it appears to be exactly as the readme instructs. Thanks again for any help...

That new texture folder: - it's name is "texture.AAL_2k8" - right??? :( ... and if you want to fly using the vc - you will need "model=vc" .... and if you have a wide-screen monitor you will need "panel=wide" noted. i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
December 20, 201015 yr Hi Paul, Yes it is texture.AAL_2k8 is there a known problem with that? No, no problem - any name will do, as long as it agrees with the name inside the cfg script. Your previous response was "The texture.AAL folder is under the aircraft/maddog folder ", and "texture=AAL_2k8" was in the script, and that was not going to work. I'm out of ideas, Richard. This all looks ok, and as long as there's a thumbnail.jpg sitting at the bottom of the texture.AAL_2k8 file, all should be good. Did you make the jpg or did it come in the package? i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.

It is an odd one. The texture.AAL_2K8 file is under the aircraft/maddog2008 folder with the .jpg at the bottom (which came with the download)(I find it odd that the folder is called maddog2008 even though I purchased the 2010 edition)The aircraft.cfg file is as you see it.Despite this nothing shows up on the fs9 aircraft menu apart from the default livery or on the load manager.Odd.Thanks for all your help and ideas though.Richard
