December 22, 201015 yr Thats an awesome picture! It only takes the smallest amount of contamination of the wing to dramatically affect the wings ability to produce lift. In an aircraft of this size with this kind of payload it would be absolutley essential to make sure there is no ice formed on the wings, or else the takeoff distance might be affected and it may not get off the ground with the runway available!!
