The fix is in the add-on

Featured Replies

Seems, everytime I get an ILS set up , thats when things start to go crazy, like it wont respond, it will just freeze, but not much of that with the not so advanced planes, my big trouble is with the fokker 70/100,or the new panel for the 747,seems whenFSX takes a high end hit it will stop {freeze} and show out of memory. I wounder if most everyone having this trouble is having it with these more advanced planes? If so then these manufactures need to fix there products, so they are compatable with FSX,or no one will buy anymore add-ons,why would they, if they wont work?

When you start down an ILS you are most often closing-in on a large airport, so FSX at that point will begin loading the airport objects into RAM, and poof! you are out of memory. Try reducing scenery complexity and toning-down weather, AI, etc. and see if that improves peformance. As you know FSX means compromises and unfortunately this implies a fair amount of trial and error.Cheers,- jahman.

Thank you, for the info I guess I am a hard head, who cant bear to not get everthing you pay for , but I guess ill have to play with the new settings, Thanks

You're welcome! You can also always think of FSX as a real steal: Airlines 15 years ago would have paid millions for a simulator that can do what FSX can, but you only paid $30-$60 :-)Cheers,- jahman.
