Maybe I hope someone knows how to get my spoilers to operate, no green comes on dash when reversing engines upon landing and I have switch on dash the switch to the up position to arm them ?

Have FSX with acceleration, after i have set all the settings for the controsl ,and pressed OK I go back to the aircraft, and just like majicthe settings are all gone, throttles everthing all settings gone, I have reset and reset the settings 5 or 6 times, and yes I have calibrated each time, still they are lost, I have a 64 bit windows 7 computer, prior to this computer I had a 32 bit vista and everything seemed to run smooth, most of the time? Any help would be greatful.

Seems when I land at KSEA, theres no runway to see, its all ground on top of runway, plane will land on runway underneath ground?

I have had and used both mega scenery, and PNW by ORBX, both had screwed up my computer, had to reinstall FSX but you can try it out personaly I would NOT.

Do you have a lot of add ons? If so Im sorry youll have to uninstall FSX and ACCEL if you have it, sorry I had to do the same thing, dont tell me I know , but before you UNINSTALL go on line and getthe exact locations of the fragmented files from FSX look up UNINSTALLING FSX the REINSTALL FSX and next PMDG try to fly then addons. That is the only way, except do you have ORBIX ORBIX anything? uninstall BUT youll have to look up uninstalling ORBIX also for fragmented files, I think then you should be set its not good enough to just select from the SCENERY LIBRARY.

Ever since I deleted ORBIX the trouble I was having with CTDs,was gone, I finally got fed up with all the guessing games of what to do, so I deleted FSX, ACCEL the REINSTALLED, BUT had to make sure all the residual FSXs was gone, you can find out which files to look at on the WEB, [ DELETING FSX] after that REinstall FSX ,ACCL and all your add ons even ORBX , see if you have the same CDS then UNINSTALL ORBIX restart FSX , and there you have it. [ORBIX IS FSX WORST ENEMY].

I tried that, and also deleted both FSX and ACCELERATION , then REINSTALLED.The only thing I got out of it was NO CTDs , because when I REINSTALLED all of my ADD ONs, I left out PNW ORBICS , but I still have trouble with AIRPORT ELIVATIONS AT KSEA, KPDX, runways below surface DIRT.

I have a problem, with mounds of dirt piled up on runway in front of plane, now it is in two airports, KSEA, KPDX,cant take off or land, wish I could send a picture but dont know how.

No. its the defalt runway.

Every time I start a flight at KPDX portland , the runways are covered with ,looks like mounds of dirt, just the entry way of the runway can be seen?Does anyone have and ideason, How to bring it back to normal?I have FSX . Thanks

Im not sure this will help everyone, who has CTDs but I uninstalled ORBIX ,{ orbix anthing}, and low and behold no CTDs? Couldnt hurt you can always reinstall it .

You havent been reading a lot of the forums, if you think just a few of FSXers are getting CTDs, you should investigate a little further.

Well I am glad someone agrees, seems that a forum is suppose to be for how to tweek it to make it run better, or I have this new plane , scenery, textures etc. Fun stuff This has become a job, that the people in the forum are trying to figure out , instead of MS. We do the work and they get the benifit. Doesnt sound normal to me. But anyway I am looking into X-Plane maybe it is a little more smoother running.

Yes you do have a very valid point, why purchase ADD-ONS if you cant use them? I know I wont and if others are having the same problems as I , then they would be smart not to purchase anything else until these problems are fixed. I mean why whats the point? To buy something you cant use?

I am getting pretty fed up with FSX, all the CDTs, all the deleting files downloading this and that, and still nothing seems to change just more and more FSXers joining the forum with more and more problems , can any one tell me is the change to X-PLANE better, worse our all of the above? First i have a Saitek Yoke, radios,and throttles 4 of them, are they all compatable with X-PLANE? Can I use my FSX add-ons? such as scenery, textures, planes etc? Is installing add-ons as easy in X-PLANE as in FSX or is it another learning curve? Trying to read the X-PLANE forum but would like some specifics? Any help would be helpful, THANKS

Well, I can fly my FOKKER now without a CTD, but I had to uninstall , which I hated to do, Orbix Pacific Northwest, don't even want to think about it. But as far as the real cure to me and, as I read this and other forums, many more FSXers, this has become a JOB. Just what do you mean, well when I come home from work or just come home I would like to sit down and just relax and play my FSX, but Noooo this is a second job, deleting files, downloading this and that. Half the time you're taking the advice of someone who probably doesn't know anymore about it than I do. But I think how to find the real fix for the CTDs is for Microsoft or someone else to put up $10,000 or so. If someone could find a solution to this problem, and I bet someone would, then more FSXers would buy more products. I mean, we are all little Microsoft workers in Santas workshop trying to find out the answer to our common problem. I just hope Microsoft is reading this.

Before I start uninstalling my scenery and terrain one by one to try and find out if I can stop my CTDs , id like to know first if I have too much of a good thing and I am just spinning my wheels as far as to much scenery? Here is my list [ Ground environment x USA Canada Alaska / FS GlobalX 2008 / Ultimate terrain X / ORBIX USA CANADA pacific northwest ] . Everything looks great as far as how things look from the air, but Im thinking I might have to much of a good thing, Im trying to lessen the load on the computer thinking in return my CTDs will stop, maybe someone knows, that there might be a single all in one Terrian / Envirement program ? Or maybe what I have is fine,just go to the left with the scenery settings. Seems when I put my latest install to the default position , that would be ORBIX USA CANADA, things seemed to get better, better meaning could fly further and almost complete an ILS? Any help would be helpful.

I , have CTDs I had an old TRAFFIC 2006, that I could not uninstall, I used [ REVOUNIN] free for 30 days, it works especially for those hard to uninstall problems, and where ever else that they might be sprinkled in other files. So anyway after that I uninstalled all of my MEGA SCENERY, I had 3 for the KSFO area, and one for Washington state KSEA area 4 GBs, maybe if there is a memory crash problem , thats a hit.
