October 27, 200322 yr They are always open...hmm.. Is that correct? or something is wrong with my fs..http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/45538.jpgThanksJacek
October 27, 200322 yr Hi Jacek,Hey, I noticed that as well when I was experimenting with this elegant bird yesterday. Nothing I did seemed to make any difference, so I guess you may be correct or else the designers overlooked this one. I don't think it's got anything to do with your installation. Are you flying her in FS2004? If so, do you have Pedro's enhancements installed? I would dearly like to switch off those wipers - driving me nuts..LOL It is possible, although not ideal, to get round the 'problem' meantime simply by substituting the .mdl file from the original installation. What's she like on takeoff? Mine is very reluctant to leave mother earth even when at full thrust plus afterburners and at 210knots. Tried reducing the payload and fuel but made no difference (unlike in FS2002). Kinda defeats the object of the excercise, anyway, as you are likely to need a refueling tanker along the way if you are crossing the Atlantic!I hope the designers are working on the air file as that's all this wonderful creation needs to make her perfect.Mike
October 27, 200322 yr Author Thanks for reply.I'm using original model without wipers, coz I dont know how to turn them off..I tried Pedro 8.30, but I have problems with takeoff, and climbing.. etc..So I'm using Pedro panel from 8.30enhancement and aircraft.cfg and air file from PM2 base package.Everything is ok with takeoff, and climbing etc. But there is a problem on the ground.. when I'm changing views from cockpit to spot.. Concorde start... "jumping" or something like that... I dont know how to name it... I'm waiting 10-15 seconds and everything is fine.. So for now I will stick with Pedro panel, and original airfile. Maybe Pedro Oliveira will release new fde for fs9?:)Jacek
October 27, 200322 yr "But there is a problem on the ground.. when I'm changing views from cockpit to spot.. Concorde start... "jumping" or something like that"...yes, I see that too. All I do is pan around 360 degrees two or three times and the jumpiness goes away.Mike
October 27, 200322 yr I have sucsessfully crossed the atlantic in the PM2 conc without re-filling the tanks or any suspicious editing of the files at all. I'm using the "Concorde Real Flight Dynamics v2.5". I too am irritated with the wipers, but I live with it because i'm to lazy to dig out an old mdl file.
October 27, 200322 yr "Concorde Real Flight Dynamics v2.5"...any chance you could provide a link please?Mike
October 27, 200322 yr I haven't a clue where I got it from, but i can e-mail it to anyone who wants [email protected]
October 27, 200322 yr Author http://fsfrance.free.fr/Mach2/Download.htmat the bottom of the page- New flight dynamics, by Pedro Oliveira. : Concorde Real Dynamics.zipI will try it.Jacek
October 28, 200322 yr We are talking FS2004 here, are we?These files are the ones I had trouble with in that Concorde would start to yaw uncontrollably shortly after takeoff, then went into a flat spin before crashing. Substituting the original Concorde.air file from the ProjetMach2ConcordeBase.exe sorted that one out.I presume the aircraft.cfg file is unchanged from the original as I have not switched this file.Mike
October 28, 200322 yr Author Yes, we are:)I tried 2.50, and as you said, there is a problem after takeoff. So you're using airfile from base package (me too) but, are you using aircraft.cfg from ProjetMach2ConcordeBase.exe? or Concorde Real Dynamics.zip?Coz when I'm using aircraft.cfg from Concorde Real Dynamics.zip, there is a problem with takeoff.. so I'm using aircraft.cfg from ProjetMach2ConcordeBase.exe. Everything seems to be fine. I'm going to fly JFK-LHR now and check how everything is working.Jacek
October 28, 200322 yr Hi Jacek,So, in effect, you are not using either of the files from the Real Dynamics zip? As to the aircraft.cfg file, I'm not sure. I think it is the one supplied in Pedros Real Dynamics zip as i have not changed it since moving the PM2 installation from FS2002. I just assumed it was unchanged. Perhaps I am wrong. I'll try substituting the aircraft.cfg file from the base package and see whether the takeoff characteristics improve. I notice the older file is larger so it looks like the two are different in their content.Mike
October 28, 200322 yr Author yep.. I'm using both files from pm2 base. Try this aircraft.cfg from base, and see how does it work.Good Luck!Jacek
October 28, 200322 yr I don't have this aircraft loaded yet in FS9 but in 2k2 those ducts were opened & closed using ctrl-shift-V/ctrl-shift-c as per cowl flaps.LPXO
