Just got it in the Market. Looks great on the Evo and Epic. Haven't really fooled around with it for more than a few minutes yet, though.

What kind of spec android phones are you playing this on? I get a feeling my ridiculously underpowered HTC Wildfire might struggle with this. (Upgrade iminent).Secondly what is it like to play on a mobile device? I just find it a little difficult to believe that you can get a true flight sim experience on such a small screen. Thoughts?

My primary Android device is an HTC EVO, which has the 1GHz Qualcomm QSD8650, which I have modified with the Adreno/Snapdragon A-9 mod, rooted with Android 2.3. The Wildfire runs the 528, which is actually very suitable for most applications, but I'm not sure how it would handle X-Plane as I've only tried it on my 1GHz and 1GHz+ devices. As for playing XP on the Android, it's exactly the same as the iPhone version, which I had no problems verifying for myself because I have both. It's much more game than sim, and is going to lack any comparable depth to the desktop version, which is obviously to be expected when considering the difference in platforms. You have an adjustable spot view and HUD, and the aircraft is controlled by moving your phone. There are menus available to choose a variety of on-screen options, and it is hands down the most detailed of the genre available on smartphones right now. But you are correct in thinking that you won't get much of a sim experience. It's fun while on the go, but does not provide a systems rich environment that you will confuse with more authentic PC version. As for screen size, I like it on my 4.2, but I think it's better suited for the tablets.
