Hi flyers,Just wondering how far can i overclock a 3 ghz without adding any further cooling. The computer is well vented.I've overclocked it to 3.25ghz but i could do with a bit more power if possible...Dave...

Intel Core 2 Duo 3ghz.

When I wanted to learn how to overclock my rig,I went to a website(several) where most(or all) of the readers were overclocking....Lots and lots of info available. Just search "overclock"...Maybe that would work for you...HTH Lou N1472Q

You'll find more info over at the AVSIM Hardware forum where they discuss new computer systems as well as overclocking. I think that's where the computer "experts" hang out. If you oc too much, your system will become unstable and you'll notice that pretty fast so, if you can I would continue to oc gradually until you notice instability. I oc'd through my system bios and you may have that option too. I can get my current system up higher than my current setting (see below) but it rapidly became unstable. My current setting is very stable and it has been oc'd like this for a couple of years now w/o any issues. Best regards,Jim
