Older video card question

I have a old Geforce2 MX 400 graphic card and I have some questions about it.1. Where do I look to see what drivers I have installed for this card? I have never installed new drivers for this card since I got it (like 2 years ago)2. Where do I find the new drivers to install? (what's the web address)3. How do I know what are the best drivers to download?I will be keeping this card until December, then I will be getting a Radeon 9800 pro 128.Thanks for your replys :-)

Hi,You can check by following this:-right click on desktop / properties / settings / advance tab (at bottom) this should show your graphics card details including your driver information, if not then you could always search for Direct X on your pc C:WINDOWSSYSTEM32dxdiag.exe this will display a screen which will also explain your graphics settings etc.drivers can be downloaded from www.nvidia.com the new drivers are out 52.16 I have them and they are very very good !!Good luck .. unfortunately its a minefieldPhil

I looked for what current drivers I have, does 4.13.0001.1241 sound right for a card that never got updated drivers? or am I looking at the wrong number.

Hi JosephI am the one other person in the world using GeForce 2 MX 400.12.41 are great drivers for this card, so you could simply stick with those. I've tried them all since; bear in mind that the latest drivers don't really do much for cards as old as ours. You could try 30.82, which might give you slightly better performance and seem to have been very stable for most people.I am actually using 44.03 right now because of various requirements for 3D glasses and other stuff on my rig; but I doubt that they're doing any more for me.Be warned; if you're not an old hand at it, changing drivers can be a nightmare if things go weird on you. If things are running well and you're changing cards at Crimbo anyway, then I'd let sleeping dogs lie personally.Incidentally, you'll need to comb the 'archive' section of Nvidia's site for all but current drivers! Or go to www.guru3D.comMark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg

But I am getting alright performance now from this old card, and I do plan on upgrading everything in December so maybe I will just leave everything alone. Thanks for the info. :-)
