December 28, 201015 yr HiI have FSX Deluxe and SDK. However i do not have the Object Placement Tool sub-folder in the SDK Mission Creation folder. For some reason this is missing and thus no OPT at all.I installed SDK SP1A which uninstalled SDK and then installed SP1A. I then installed SDK SP2 (I have FSX Deluxe SP2) and this uninstalled SP1A and installed it to SP2.I thought this might have resolved the problem but again i see no OPT sub folder anywhere and so nothing shows in FSX tools.Does anyone know why the folder could be missing or am i missing something in not looking in the right place?I have the following folders in my SDK folder:-Core Utilities Folder--sub folders of SimConnectSimPropEnvironment Kit Folder--sub folders of Autogen SDKBGL Compiler SDKModelling SDKSpecial Effects SDKTerrain SDKTraffic Toolbox SDKMission Creation Kit--sub folders ofMission Samplesand files:dllobject placement.dllSimObject Creation Kit--sub folders ofCabDir SDKPanels and Gauges SDKSo, i have the object placement.dll and a file named dll on its own but no folder with it? Any help would be appreciated.
December 28, 201015 yr I really do not think you are missing anything.Get the file I have linked to and follow the illustrated instructions very carefully - it explains it all much better than I could:http://library.avsim.net/search.php?SearchTerm=making_scenery_with_object_placement_tool.zip&CatID=root&Go=SearchHope that helps.

I edited the file to activate OPT and it works, now all i have to do is get my head round it. As when i save the mission as a file and replay it in FSX, no scenery is showing. But then i'm having that problem with Whisplacer too.I'll give the document you suggested a good read now, sorry for wasting time on the original subject. But i'm sure i'll be back on here in a minute :(

As i am using Horizon Gen-X 2.0 scenery for the part i wish to place my objects.Whenever i try to use BGLs i have created in either Whisplacer or Object Placer they do not work with the Horizon scenery.I tested this as i made a test scenery BGL for default scenery and it worked fine. How do i get BGL files to work with Horizon scenery?

I just did what you said and it works on Horizon scenery. Many thanks for your help, i really appreciate it.
