Interesting thread regarding GTX 580 vs 6970 at very high resolutions...

Featured Replies

Looks like the GTX 580 can't hack it at very high multi-monitor resolution with 4x FSAA or higher. Not enough memory. Keep in mind, this is a triple 30" so it represents the uppoer echelon of multi-monitor, obviously not mainstream.I am glad I read this thread since I am looking at Eyefinity and preferably higher levels of FSAA. The thread starter has pulled his results from the original post. Not a very useful thread, at the moment.

He's posted in a few different forums, I just can't remember the other links off the top of my head.He had the results up for a few days. Essentially, it showed the effects of the extra memory on the 6970 when playing at very high multi-monitor settings. He did run a test with DCS A-10 which showed CFX yielding insane scaling, something I am very interested in (DCS A-10 is my favorite sim). Can't wait till the new benches are up.
