Hi-I just got the Caravan and am enjoying it. It seems to have a peculiarity tho'. When in spot view at 50%, the exterior textures degrade significantly, that is, it looks like AA has been turned off. Zooming back in it's clear as a bell. Is this a characteristic of the HD textures or....?Thanks,Mark

I have this too- also with the orbx lancair iv-p. ill need to explore it additionally later, if I find a solution, ill let you know :)

mipmaps perhaps?

All my FSX/P3D repaints are here on Avsim, for my MSFS repaints, go to FS.2

Explain further?

The texture files can be saved with mipmaps on or off. ON will result in blurry textures when viewed at close range. To check, open them in DXTBmp and check. You can download DXTBmp here: http://www.fly.to/mwgfx. If you open the texture file, you'll see the square with the alphachannel in the top right corner, and just below that is the setting for the mipmaps. Make sure that it is NOT ticked (see below), and save the textures again. If the mipmaps are already unchecked, your problem lies elsewhere...dxtbmp.jpg

Will I have to do that to all the textures? If so, thats a LONG process...

Checked a few files in both the Lancair & C208B - both are the same as the picture above.

in that case, something else is wrong...
