How to set up Auto pilot in Baron58 in FSX

Featured Replies

I have just installed a flight from Pensacolar to New Orleans using a Baron 58 and I cannot for the life of me work out how to set the Speed,Altitude, and Bearing on the Auto Pilot. Can someone help please? Thanks a million............Dave Ellis

Wait a minute while I get my reading glasses on... That's better! There's no autothrottle on the Baron 58 so you just set the throttle levers as desired - use F2 and F3 to set throttle. Hit Shift + 2 to open the Radio Stack popup panel and at the bottom of the stack you can set AP functions - just mouse over the Altitude selector to set altitude and the Vertical Speed selector to set the VS. Heading can be set with the heading bug on the Horizontal Situation Indicator (HSI). When everything is ready hit the AP, ALT and HDG buttons on the AP panel. You'll find all this info in the Learning Center which makes good reading if you've got a bit of time.
