January 5, 201115 yr Hello HiFi Simulation,I flew into WSSS (Singapore) recently and the airfield wind was VRB at 5 knots. On approach the wind indicator on the ND was spinning in circles, this was causing problems with the approach as the autothrottle was going all over the place and speed could not be attained. Is this an issue with varible wind forecasts with ASE? I have the latest SPs.Thanks
January 6, 201115 yr Hi,No, there is no problems with variable winds with ASE, but we'll see what we can do to help your situation.FS9 or FSX?What was the Shift/Z wind readout doing at the time?Is FSUIPC set to default settings and weather settings off? Please let us know.
January 6, 201115 yr Author FSX.Didn't have the S/Z readout on, I was reading off the PMDG 747-400 ND wind. After having a massive sway in heading enroute, I ticked wind smoothing in FSUIPC and turbulence effects off, I also wound down turbulence in ASE. This fixed my problem enroute, or I believe it did. Thanks
January 7, 201115 yr Author I resolved the problem of varying wind at WSSS by ticking suppress wind variance in FSUIPC.
