Question about water textures

I've installed the latest water texture enhancements available in the file library, and I've had a question even back with the original MS textures. In the 2 pics below, you can see how the water texture is fluctuating between small rippled waves and then to completely flat, and then back again.Am I loosing it, or is SUPPOSED to do that? That effect is a result of the way that FS9 creates its water reflections. Unfortunately, there's nothing that can be done about it. Hopefully MS will improve the reflections for the next version of flight sim.

You might look at setting your graphics detail to Low and your terrain detail texture to high. This will give you UV animated detail textures (just like FS2002) instead of bump mapped waves. The options are mutually exclusive - you can have one or the other, but not both.
