What are good general max temps for my cpu and GPU which are:Intel Core i5 2500KNvidia GTX 460 SE SuperclockedI assume about 70 and and 80 on those but I am not sure as this is my first computer build and first computer I am actually monitoring it. I get about 65C on my cpu while playing fsx and it topped at 68 while rendering a video and this all on a stock cooler.

I prefer to stay below 70 with CPUs and GPUs. Get yourself a decent cooler and overclock that 2500k!

Thanks! I have heard CPUs don't take the heat as well as GPUS. I am just worried that these parts are overheating. So far I think they are good and actually are running cooler than my old dell XPS 420. The ATI 3870 card that was in there I think idled at 65 to 70C thing was a piece of crap. I was just looking at coolers but I probably won't get one until much later especially when I learn how to overclock properly. Also, I do have it overclocked to 4ghz. I know its lame but right now I don't know much about overclocking and I used my motherboards autotuning tool and had it stop at 4ghz so it doesn't screw up the voltages or push it too much. Once I learn how to overclock, I will push it more.
