Problem with KOAK and losing RC4 contact

I've made two flights to KOAK flying north from the L.A. area. These were real world flight plans obtained from Flight Aware. In both cases, when I get handed off to Approach and get initial vectors to the rwy (in this case, RWY 29) I subsequently lose all contact with ATC. I was at 4000 feet MSL when this occurred. how about next time, you click debug before loading your .plnthen if it happens again, zip up the log, and send it to me. i'll tell you what happened.i wonder, if instead of contacting approach, you actually missed your crossing restriction, were vectored 90 degrees left or right from the airport, and rc was waiting for you to reach your crossing restriction altitude. did you set your altimeter to the local pressure?jd

It also would not hurt to check that your scenery database was rebuilt with version 4.41 or later of makerwys.exe. The links are pasted below. This is especially important when using add-on scenery.In addition any ATC command not acked will stall RC.Now if you were commanded to 4000 feet it looks like you were assigned the final intercept vector which would you following a STAR entry at all and if so where were you when vectors started. There are some terrain obstacles depending on your arrival direction that might require an IAP approach to the IAFs on the chart.Also, be sure you are tuned to the LOC frequency as noted in your scenery. You can get this from a data file under your rc4X\data folder. Open but do not edit r4.csv in Notepad. It is best to make a safe backup. Search for KOAK and you'll get a number of rows for KOAK. The BG means Back Course and Glide Slope enabled. FSX default airports incorrectly have all back courses enabled. That should be corrected using an airport facility editor such as AFX payware or ADE9X freeware because although not in this instance if the same frequency are used at both ends of a runway unless you are very close to the center line you could lock on to the incorrect signal. Always identify the ILS/LOC designator. It looks like an arrival from the SE with KLAX CASTA2 GMN PXN2 KOAK STAR with GMN as the STAR transition point to the SUNOL IAF of the IAP chart which takes you NE of the extended center line for about a 235 degree intercept to the localizer. Look at the altitudes in both charts. This would require an IAP approach possibly because of terrain.
