The new build for your "ok"

Featured Replies

Just wanted to throw this out there for the new build to see if anyone noticed any conflicting hardware. My concern is always: will the hardware fit in the case, will the RAM jive well with the motherboard and will the whole thing be capable of overclocking. I was thinking of getting an SSD, but it might be best just to put everything on one HD and wait for the SSD prices to come down.Planned uses: FSX/training, graphic + web design, audio editing. Not interested in multiple monitors, SLI, etc... Thank you for your input!I plan to sell my old rig on craigslist to recoup my investment in this machine. Case too small for graphics card, get a HAF X or similar full tower case to fit 580. PSU is pretty low standard. You don't want to skimp on this. Get something like a Corsair A series or HX 750+. If going Coolermaster, get the Silent Pro or Silent Pro Gold. A wireless card is only necessary if you can't connect via Ethernet. All motherboards have built in ethernet. Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit.

Thank you sir- this is exactly the stuff I was curious about. I'll tweak the PSU selection for the better, and try to find a larger case.
