Having problem with the RWY/Dept Area within the FMS set up.I keep getting WRONG Format error for rwyslope/wind. According to tutorial it states the MSFS does not recognize RWY slope . If the winds per ATIS is 130 05 I thought you would enter 1305.. Also if you are using a SID but your CLR is to M 14000 expect FL340 in 10. How do you set the ALTITUDE. All you can is lower it not raise it. Nothing in the manual as far as I can see. The tutorial1 doesn't help with my problem either!!THANKS!Scand

Hi - please sign your full name to your posts, this is a PMDG forum rule, thanks,1. The wind entry is just the speed, not the direction - it'll default to "H" for headwind when you enter it in.2. You don't enter intermediate altitudes from ATC into the FMS unless they are specific restrictions at a particular waypoint. All you need to do there is set FL340 as your cruise altitude but then set the FCP altitude knob to 14000 - the plane will then stop at 14000 while climbing. The FCP alt acts as a limiter on whatever the FMS is trying to do.This stuff is most definitely in the manual and there's several points in the two tutorials where these concepts are used...
