February 6, 201115 yr Hi all.PROBLEM: I just finished restoring my computer to factory settings, which wiped the entire computer clean. I installed FSX, and now the aircraft aren't displaying properly i.e. wheels are above the plane, wings are deformed. Here is a picture.http://img225.imageshack.us/i/47822651.jpg/I have un installed FSX and re-installed to no avail. All aircraft are deformed in some way. Not just the 747. Before I wiped my computer, I had fsx working perfectly fine with the PMDG 747, LDS 767, Active Sky Evolution, multiple scenery add-ons etc. So I know that my laptop can handle FSX and complex scenery and aircraft. I also noticed in the settings that there is no DX10 check box. Here is a picture.http://img687.imageshack.us/i/66198572.jpg/LAPTOP: Here are my laptop specs, but before I give them, you should know that i had FSX installed on this laptop before the restore, and it worked exceptionally well. So don't tell me my CPU's are the problem or the graphics card can't handle it, because I know they can. Granted, I have to decrease a few settings to get it to run smooth at certain airports. The only drivers I installed/updated were the BIOS and Graphics drivers prior to installation of FSX.Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600)System Manufacturer: Acer System Model: Aspire 5741 BIOS: InsydeH2O Version V1.18Processor: Intel® Core i3 CPU M 350 @ 2.27GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.3GHzMemory: 4096MB RAMAvailable OS Memory: 3766MB RAMGraphics Card name: Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator HDManufacturer: Intel CorporationChip type: Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator HD (Core i3)Display Memory: 1755 MBDedicated Memory: 128 MBShared Memory: 1627 MBCurrent Mode: 1366 x 768 (32 bit) (60Hz)Any help would be appreciated.

You don't have the DX10 Preview because you don't have SP2 installed.Put this line into you fsx.cfg, under the graphics section. This line will force a rebuild of your Shaders cache system, (which is located here: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\FSX\Shaders10\ShadersHLSL (Win7 path) )The '24' can be ANY number, and any time you change your shaders, or your WaterConstants.XML file you will need to rebuild the Shader files. Changing this number will do it automatically.[GRAPHICS]SHADER_CACHE_VERSION=24That's all. No need for a rebuild. i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
