February 14, 201115 yr I have Peter Dowson's FSUIPC 4.60 loaded along with Arrestor Cables 2.6, and I run Win-7 64-bit. The traps work fine. All indicators on the Arrcab screen, noises, blast deflector, and verbal cues are good for cat launch, EXCEPT that I don't get a launch after running up to 85% power and release of Parking Brake. The carriers are not stock AP boats, but those from Carriers 2006 that are loaded in the scenery folder as locations . All of Javier's carriers (with the launch box) work just super, but these do not for me. One of my flying collegues said it might be that I need an earlier version of FSUIPC, say 4.3, and this may be the issue. Do any of you run this setup under Win-7 and have no problem with Arrcab? If so, I'd like to see if it is just my box that needs some tweaking.Thx
February 14, 201115 yr I do not have Carriers 2006, maybe it is not compatible with ArrestorCables 2.6. For starters I assume that you started ArrestorCables before you tried to arm the catapult. When you are on Javier's carrier and you arm the catapult you see a message in a green band that says the catapult is armed, if you do not see the same thing when you are on a Carriers 2006 ship and you arm the catapult then it is probably something to do with Carriers 2006 and I doubt that an earlier version of FSUIPC will help. Maybe you are not in the right spot on the ship when you try and arm the cat on a Carriers 2006 ship.
February 14, 201115 yr Thanks for the comeback. Yes, I have loaded Arrcab prior to the flight and yes I get all the banners and verbal cues. The on-screen Arrcab box tells me I am in the right place and the BDS deploys just as I taxi far enough onto the cat rail. The Carriers 2006 boats do not have a red/white launch box, which is weird since all the Javier carriers work with one of these boxes when you deploy the bar (SHIFT+U) and load the steam cat (SHIFT+I) before actual launch (SHIFT+SPACEBAR). I have done a taxi further down the ramp before doing runup and brakes off, but still no joy.
February 14, 201115 yr To arm the cat all I do is get the plane in the proper position and the hit CTRL+. to set the brakes, try that, but try it on Javier's carrier first so you can confirm that it arms the cat. To launch I just rev up the engines then release the brakes and I am off into the wild blue.
