Blueprint KLAX FSX

Featured Replies

Hello there, I purchased the Blueprint Simulations KLAX FSX and I found out that the AI are taking off of the wrong sides of the runway! Is there a fix for that? AI planes takeoff from 7l, 7r, 6l, 6r instead of 24r, 24l, 25l, 25r! Can someone try to fix this? thanks!

Were they taking off with a tailwind? I live right by LAX and sometimes the airport turns the runways around if the wind requires it. I think they also land aircraft that direction after a certain time of night to reduce noise.

Great to know! I didnt know that! I live 30 miles from LAX. I saw the A380 quantas fly over my house! Thanks.I would ask that someone kind would create a BGL file to correct to the REGULAR takeoff pattern. Thanks!

Yeah, I rarely see aircraft depart from 6L/6R or 7L/7R because the wind is almost always coming from the West. It's nice to go to the beach and watch them takeoff or go over to the In'N'Out on Sepulveda and watch them land.

Yup I go spotting on the hill near LAX! Great spot!My uncle has a house near the airport. Only about 3 minutes from LAX. I visit and watch the planes from the backyard!

How about all the flashing red lights above all the terminals, Is that realistic?

Yup! there is a lot of HIGH detail textures! The only problem is the AI taking off the wrong way and the green taxi shoulders arent green

Does anyone know how to edit and create BGL files? I would try but I dont know how! Maybe a little correction to the runway takeoff and landing of AI could be VERY helpful! Thanks!

Runway selection is totally dependent on wind direction (both in FSX and usually in real life). You can use something like Airport Design Editor (go to fsdeveloper.com or look up scruffy duck software to find it) to close runways, but that's not realistic either. Here's historical wind data from a location in the Los Angeles area for the last 5 or 6 years: http://www.piercecollegeweather.com/wind-vectors.html. I'm certain you'll find conditions in there where ATC is warranted in turning the airport around and landing in the eastern direction.
