February 19, 201115 yr In my Aero Commander 500 (by Martin Shupe - ac500vc1), there apparently is no gear warning horn in the model. The settings in aircraft.cfg/gear_warning_system are correct (and I've tried tweaking them with other settings, too), but the warning never activates. Is there a way to add this feature, other than modifying the model? Many thanks!
February 19, 201115 yr Check in the sound file for that aircraft an insure that a section some what like this appears in the sound cfg file;[GEAR_UP_WARNING_SOUND]filename=757grwrnmaximum_volume=12000The above is of course just an example and filename=757grwrn and maximum_volume=12000 would or should be different. If that sort of entry doesn't exist then you would need to find a suitable warning sound WAV file, add it to the aircraft sound folder and use that file's name where filename= appears then adjust the volume to fit your needs. The stock FS9 Beech Baron could be a good reference point and the sound file might fit your needs, unless of course one already exists in the AC500 sound file. If you use the Baron stuff as a start be sure to add "maximum_volume=num xxx" and adjust.Best regards,Mel
