February 19, 201115 yr This may be a silly question - but I'll ask it anyway...If I have set T.O. flaps to 22 (via dial-a-flap), I will start retracting them after the PFD shows me passing the 'FR' mark, right? (I hope so!). But choosing to retract flaps at that point does not reduce the flaps to 15 degs, as I would have thought, but retracts them fully. Is that what is supposed to happen? (I then retract slats after passing the PFD 'SR' indicator). Is this correct? I am just a bit mystified as to why flaps don't go from 22degs to 15degs before they retract fully, but perhaps that's how it is meant to be?Thanks,Martin Martin Stebbing, EGLF (UK)
February 19, 201115 yr The "dial-a-flap" function does exactly you said. It "set" the first value of FLAPS extension to the value selected, from 15° to 25°...giving you the capacity to select an optimum setting for right performances. Also is right your retraction schedule, retract the flaps when passing the FR (Flaps Retraction) indication, that becomes green as you can see; and then, retract the slats when passing the SR indication. This is the normal procedures for the retraction schedule.Cheers, Paolo Fumagalli "Everyday is a new flight, with new system to learn, new failures to prevent and new database to update..."
February 19, 201115 yr Look at the ANgle of Attack(AOA) Sample video of their takeoff procedure. This is covered in that demo. It is the video about 1/2 way down the page. Convinced me to buy the training program.http://www.flyaoamedia.com/blog/md11/ Travis Shipley
