Weather problem

Featured Replies

Hello Captains.I have a very annoying problem. The situaton is the following:When i am whenever up in the air after a small changes (or big doesnt matter) in wind direction and/or windspeed i'm experiencing with pmdg 747 (and with every other aircraft but i fly mostly the Queen) very big fluctuations in airspeed. Sometimes the A/C accelerates 20-30knots in a second or sometimes even more, after when an other windchange occurs the aircraft slows down in the same way.I use registered version of fsuipc but it doenst really helped, just made a little bit better. i attached the wind settings in fsuipc. This issue is very frustrating and makes the flying very unrealistic and causes problems with fuel calculations, because the autothrottle tries to get back to the given speed.I use the rex2 weather engine with either real weather or vatsim weather.Any help would be appreciatedMany thanks Laszlo Meszaros

I use the 1 knot/degree per second. Also, have you tried turning off turbulence options in in REX2? I recommend only using real world weather rather than Vatsim. I have had some strange issues when using Vatsim weather.

Yes, in the rex2 options the Enable realistic storm windshear and updrafts is unchecked.I tried to enable this option as well but it was even worse

I believe there are a other options in REX2 as well. I can't check currently, but maybe someone else could clarify. Also try the 1 knot/degree per second option.

Maybe this real world report might helphttp://www.avherald....=438188a8&opt=0

The crew suspecting mountain wave activity requested to descend to FL360, however just when they initiated the descent the airspeed dropped by 60 knots, the autothrust system increased power to compensate for the loss of speed causing the airplane to pitch up and climb to FL398 before the aircraft descended to FL360
