You probably could also do with something to improve the default ground textures such as Ground Environment from Flight 1 although IMO Ground Texture Plus recently released by Simview is even better (and better value) but mysteriously it has disappeared off of the SimMarket web site (?why). Other than that you might want to get addon scenery for specific areas, the best of which are the France VFR series and which add tremenduous realism with very low frame rate effects.Hope this helps,BillWindows XP Pro SP2; Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 3.0Ghz CPU; Arctic Cool 7Pro; ASUS P5N-E-SLI Motherboard;4GB Corsair 800Mhz DDR2 RAM; 768MB nVidia GeForce 8800GTX Dual VGA Graphics card;2x 500GB SATA 7200RPM Hard Drive; 650W (2 x 12V) PSU; 2 x 1000GB + 1 x 150GB Western Digital External Hard Drive; CH Pro Yoke and PedalsAll helping to power 291GB of fs9!
February 26, 201115 yr hi there thanks for the reply that was very useful information and kind of what i was thinking myself :(
February 26, 201115 yr You might want to try Active Sky. I had to do some tweaking to it to get it so that it matched the performance of my old system which was slower Core Duo. Recently, I moved FS9 to a i5 core with an nVidia GTX-560 TI card and it's just beautiful. I took a flight from MMMZ to MMSD this morning and the haze layer depiction was very realistic. I mean, it looked like being in Baja on a lazy Sunday morning. The major issues is making sure that you get the settings to match what you're system can handle. Jim Skorna might want to chime in on this one and let you know the best settings for your box.Mark
