November 14, 200322 yr Often times when I am flying, I will notice out of nowhere that my airspees indicator reads "0", even though I am flying at normal cruising speed. I have been a private pilot for 2 years and this has never happened in a real plane that I flew, so why does this happen in MSFS 2004? Can anyone help?
November 14, 200322 yr dont get me wrong, but if you are a private pilot and dont know why your airspeed indicator could show 0, oh my god.... :-)its because the cold stream of airflow makes ice in your "pitot" and without airflow in pitot there is no airspeed indication....so, if you turn on pitotheat the problem will not appear....fly safe ....McDanielPS: as you can see english is not my best thing i can, so could someone please explain what i mean with "cold airfolw"... :-)
November 14, 200322 yr You made a great post McDaniel.... I don't think I could add anything to it, and I've spoken English for four decades....-John
