Online Flying

For all those that fly online, can you give me your mike and headphone preferences. Seems like a headphone and boom mike combination would be best but I may be missing something here. Thanks Sinbad

Sinbad,You don't need an expensive headset but a heaadset with mike does make things easier in that the mike needs very little readjustment once set unlike a stand mike.I use a Sennheiser m@b 30 set which I got for about

I use the Plantronics headset (don't know model) with boom mike and headphones. Its excellent quality and have never (touch wood) any bother. It has an inline mute button and the sound quality through the headphones is superb. Bought it from PC world (UK) about 3 years ago and it cost about

I have a Radio Shack Headset with boom mike that I like a lot better than the playtronic headset/headphones I've used in the past, it was also relitively cheap at 40$US. The other thing about my setup is that I have a second sound card I use specifacally for the headset. That way only Teamspeak or RogerWilco comes out of the headset, normal sim sounds all come from the primary sound card and external speakers. It makes hearing anything said over the voice program much easier to hear and the over all Auditory expierence much more realistic. Having FunGrey Wolf

Well I just went down to the local Warehouse Stationary store here in NZ and got a nice $20(NZ) headset with mic attached (Brand is Elite)...Works great, no real need to buy one of those expensive things.. :-) :-)
