March 7, 201115 yr Good Day SimmersCan someone please clarify for me if the Aerosoft Concorde X and Fligt Sim Labs Concorde X are the same or two different packages. If different, I would love to hear from ayone who has used either and what their opinions are.Much appreciated.
March 7, 201115 yr Same product. It is very complex with a steep learning curve (Flightsim Labs offers a great tutorial), great textures, very high quality VC, awesome system simulations, excellent flight dynamics, and it's fast, I highly recommend it, but it is not a jump-in-and-go aircraft and requires several hours of time to perform transatlantic flights. Of course, it will get you across the pond much faster then any other airliner. Shane Gavin
March 7, 201115 yr Many thanks for your clarification. They do look very similar and that is what got me to post the question. No doubt a magnificent airplane and looks like it has been captured nicely.
March 8, 201115 yr I bought the Concorde x because I was waiting so long for pmdg ngx. I tried it for a couple of days and I nearly deleted it from my computer because it does have a steep learning curve with the ins etc but once you get the hang of it, it is an incredible plane to fly and I fly nothing else now. It truly is a great aircraft and it does have it's quirks but there is always a work around and I highly recommend it. I am surprised it seems to not get a high recognition(The lack of hype nearly put me of purchasing it in the first place). Just stick at it and it is an airplane that rewards you at every step(except maybe the first week of flight LOL :) make sure you get the flight plan converter at official website great tool to load in your own full f/p's.
March 8, 201115 yr I love the ConcX as well. Its very, very heavy and thorough when it comes to system simulation and that makes for a very steep learning curve. Its not the most versatile plane tho, and it doesnt like flying subsonic that well so I usually just use it to cross the atlantic (they generally do not allow supersonic flight over land on VATSIM :( )
March 8, 201115 yr Commercial Member Great to hear you're all enjoying Concorde-X! Yes, it's complex - but we do offer a superb step-by-step tutorial, with additional support on our forums should you need it. We also provide the option for a virtual Flight Engineer, to look after all of the aircraft systems while you fly. See you all at Mach 2! Andrew Wilson
