March 11, 201115 yr I am planning a flight to Europe (specifically EHAM) from my home airport of KMBS (Saginaw MI). I know my rough route will take me from MBS to Montreal, Montreal to Goose Bay, then on to Greenland, Iceland etc. However, I cannot find a site that allows international flight planning. Firstly is there such a site that can help? I know I can find routes for heavy metal aircraft but haven't found any for GA. Or does someone have a plan that they have used that I could use? i7 950 OC 4ghz - GTX 570 Superclocked - X58 Sabertooth - 1 TB HD - 12gb RAM - Saitek Flight yoke, throttle quadrants, rudder pedals.
March 11, 201115 yr So you want to go across the big blue with a small GA aircraft? Nice idea, but bring plenty of time. Here's a small press release about some company guy doing just the same. http://www.diamond-air.at/news_detail+M51a9d9ae970.htmlSadly, the route itself only gets described roughly.
March 11, 201115 yr Author I also found this site that was prtty comprehensive; xpda.com/flyingtoeuropeI know I probably can't fly this flight as realistically as I would like since there are different rules about flying across the pond, of which I am unfamiliar with. But it's something I have been wanting to do. I won't be doing it all in one haul of course. When I land for fuel I will break and just start the next time from my last point I landed. I know I could also just fly direct to each place but would much rather do it with the proper waypoints/vor if possible. i7 950 OC 4ghz - GTX 570 Superclocked - X58 Sabertooth - 1 TB HD - 12gb RAM - Saitek Flight yoke, throttle quadrants, rudder pedals.
