March 22, 201115 yr I have done everything the software asks of me but I'm puzzled by one sentence in my information that I received back and that is the following: "You are running with frame rates set to unlimited, great! but MAKE SURE you use the 'external' frame rate limiter set to 'exactly' 30 FPS for optimal results. You can download it."Where exactly does one find the 'external' frame rate limiter to set it at 30 FPS? I know where the 'Target frame rate' is located which is under Options/Settings/ Display and was wondering if this is the same as the 'external' frame rate limiter setting. I currently have my target frame rate set to 'Unlimited'. Is there another place where I should set this so-called 'external' frame rate to 30 FPS??Also, I assume that since I chose 'Normal' that all the software fixes were applied automatically to my fsx.cfg file. Is that correct, or do I have to apply them myself? Thanks, jack noulet
March 22, 201115 yr I am fairly certain a link to the External FPS limiter can be found very close to the text you quoted from Bojote's tool.William Stroud
March 22, 201115 yr Author Do I have to run the software again to find out where this 'link' is that tells me where I can find the "External FPS" setting that should in my case be set to 30 fps while keeping my "target frames' setting to unlimited? I still don't understand where this External FPS setting is !! Can anyone help?Jack noulet
March 22, 201115 yr Jack,it's not a setting within FSX. As the word external suggests, it is an external program. There should be a download link on *******'s site. Alternatively google FPS limiter 0.2. Once you downloaded that program, run it and guide it to your FSX.exe. This will create a batch file from which to run FSX. The user interface is based on Java, so you need the Java Runtime Environment installed IIRC. "A life is like a garden.
